W.I.N. Time

WIN what I need

Throughout the school day students participate in WIN Time which is an implementation for what student's need for intervention and enrichment. Kindergarten through 2nd graders in particular use magnetic reading and Heggerty to support literacy development. This is to ensure that students are reading by the 3rd grade. We also have a reading intervention teacher that supports students by pushing into the classroom and pulling students out for that extra literacy support.

Our librarian does a wonderful job of promoting literacy. During library class times she reads to the students and allows them check out books as needed. She also hosts book battles to encourage students to read, plans our Read Across America Week, and hosts book clubs.

Lastly Citrus Elementary always hosts literacy night. During this event teachers & staff stay after school and do fun literacy-based activities with the students. PTA, food vendors, and special guests also join us for this night of celebration! For the 24/25 school year In-N-Out was able to come and it was an absolute hit. We can't wait to do it again for our community.
